Belated Brief Introduction

I'm starting this blog for a few reasons.

1. Becoming a parent is interesting and terrifying
2. I have a terrible memory
3. Let's just say my writing skills are in need of improvement

These are all sort of related. I want to be a decent parent, and it seems like the main difficulty is communication. There are probably thousands of articles out there on the web that promote the values of writing to improve communication skills, so I figure it is worth the effort. If nothing else, I may end up with some content that is at least interesting to me.
